Administration
Bryon Ellison - Principal
It is an honor to introduce myself as the principal of Liberty Hill High School in this extraordinary school community. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to caring for children each and every day while providing them a world-class learning environment.
I am a seasoned high school teacher and building principal, but in addition to my role as an educator, I am first and foremost a father to three boys and husband. I look forward to introducing my family to the many wonderful people that call Liberty Hill High School “home” in the near future.
The 2025-2026 school year will mark my 24th year in education. I graduated from Hardin Simmons University with a degree in Physical Education. I obtained my Masters of Education in Administration from Lamar University. My teaching experience includes teaching two years in Austin, Texas at the high school level. I taught for five years in Round Rock, Texas at the high school level and in Leander, Texas for thirteen years as a teacher and Associate Principal at Vista Ridge High School. Although I have always felt at home in the classroom, it is in my position as an administrator, where I have been most fulfilled in my life’s work.
I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2025-2026 school year.

Jennifer Whitehead- Assistant Principal
Last Name Alpha A – Gi
My name is Jennifer Whitehead and I am excited to join the team as an Assistant Principal for Liberty Hill High School. I am a lifelong learner with 21 years of experience in education. After all these years, I can genuinely say that I just love school. I graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a BSIS in Secondary Education and enjoyed teaching multiple levels of English and Reading. My husband and I moved to Central Texas in 2012. I graduated with my Master's in Administration from Concordia University Texas in 2019 and I have worked in several other schools until finally landing in Liberty Hill, my husband's hometown! I am a grateful member of the Panther Nation.
Outside of school, I enjoy camping with my family, cooking and baking, and traveling. As a former English teacher, I also enjoy reading, so give me your best recommendations! I am eager to serve the students and families of Liberty Hill.
David Eickbusch-Assistant Principal
Last Name Alpha GL – N
I am honored to serve as an Assistant Principal at Liberty Hill High School and am excited to begin my fourth year in this role. I am currently in my 13th year in education, having served as a band director at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels before transitioning into campus administration. I earned my Bachelor of Music Education degree from Texas State University, my Master's degree from The University of Texas at Austin, where I served as a teaching assistant for the Longhorn Marching Band, Basketball Band, Volleyball Band, and Concert Bands, and my Principal Certification through Lamar University. Prior to joining Liberty Hill ISD, I taught in Kerrville ISD and Round Rock ISD.
The most rewarding part of my work is building meaningful relationships with students. I believe every student deserves to feel known, valued, and supported, and I am passionate about helping students discover their strengths, overcome challenges, graduate with confidence, and find their place in the world after high school.
Outside of school, I enjoy staying actively involved in my church community and performing as a percussionist with the Cedar Park Winds. The ensemble has had the privilege of performing at both the Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago and the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention in San Antonio. Music continues to be an important part of my life and a way for me to stay connected to the profession that first inspired my career in education.
My wife, Elisabeth, and I enjoy spending time together gardening, tackling home improvement projects, discovering new restaurants and recipes, and exploring our local communities. I'm also an avid Marvel fan and proudly cheer on the Texas Longhorns, especially during football and baseball season.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Liberty Hill community and look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff as we continue building a campus where every Panther can thrive. Go Panthers!

With 20 years of experience in education serving students from birth to age 21, I am proud to now serve as an Assistant Principal at Liberty Hill High School. Over the past nine years, I’ve had the privilege of working in Liberty Hill ISD in a variety of roles, including Special Education Teacher, ARD Facilitator, and SPED Team Lead—each helping me build deep, meaningful roots within this amazing district.
My family and I are proud to call Liberty Hill home. Between my husband and me, we have five children who have all attended or are currently enrolled in Liberty Hill ISD: Riggs (Class of ’24), Brady (Class of ’27), Laney (Class of ’28), and our Irish twins, River and Ryann (Class of ’33). We are true Panther fans through and through—we bleed purple and gold and love supporting our Panthers on and off the field!
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Science with a minor in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University (Axe 'Em, Jacks!) and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
I am beyond excited to step into this new role on the LHHS admin team. Building relationships with students is my passion, and I look forward to working alongside our staff, families, and community to help every student grow and succeed.
When I’m not at school or cheering from the stands, you’ll likely find me tuning into a true crime podcast, cooking up something for my family, or chasing around our lively (and sometimes wild!) crew of kids.
Let’s make it an amazing year at LHHS—Go Panthers!
