Liberty Hill Success Academy (LHSA) is Liberty Hill ISD’s premier Academic Program of Choice, providing an alternative learning environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. Designed for those who may not have found success in a traditional high school setting, LHSA offers a personalized, self-paced online curriculum combined with student-centered instruction.
Whether students need to recover credits or thrive in a smaller academic community, LHSA provides the flexibility and support to help them achieve their goals.

NEW Success Virtual Academy
Success Virtual Academy
The Liberty Hill ISD Success Virtual Academy provides eligible high school students with a flexible online learning option while remaining connected to Liberty Hill ISD and Success Academy.
Designed for students who benefit from a more individualized learning environment, the program combines online coursework, mentor support, and personalized pacing to help students stay on track toward graduation and future success.
The Success Virtual Academy is not a separate campus. Students remain enrolled in Success Academy and receive support from Liberty Hill ISD staff throughout the school year.
Program Options
The Success Virtual Academy offers two pathways:
- Full-Time Virtual Program for students in grades 10–12
- Hybrid Program for students in grades 11–12 that combines virtual and in-person instruction

Success Academy FAQs

The Liberty Hill Success Academy is currently housed at Liberty Hill High School.

The Liberty Hill Success Academy offers individualized learning, a low teacher-to-student ratio, and flexible scheduling options.

All classes are offered at a pace that meets the student's needs, although some classes are directly tied to the state STAAR test. These classes may have more traditionally taught elements to ensure that students are prepared for testing.

In order to apply, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be in grades 11-12.
- Have a strong sense of self-motivation and the need to succeed.
- Be able to work independently and in groups with more limited direct instruction than in a traditional setting.

We will review your application, essay, and teacher recommendation forms. You will receive a call to schedule an interview to further discuss our program and if you would succeed in our blended learning environment. If you are accepted, we will discuss the steps you will need to take in order to enroll. If you are not accepted, we will contact you directly to let you know.

LHSA is a program that is part of Liberty Hill High School through Liberty Hill ISD. You will have the opportunity to graduate and walk with your class in May.
Success VIRTUAL Academy FAQs

No. The program operates within Success Academy and Liberty Hill ISD. Students remain connected to the district and supported by district staff.

Courses are delivered online through Edgenuity. Most coursework is asynchronous, meaning students can complete work on their own schedule during the instructional day. Students may also be required to participate in virtual check-ins, tutoring, or interventions.

Yes. The program provides individualized pacing while still maintaining progress expectations and graduation requirements.

Yes. The program supports both credit recovery and course acceleration opportunities.

Attendance is based on daily progress made within the online learning platform. Students must demonstrate documented academic progress each instructional day to be counted present.

Yes. Students are assigned mentor teachers who monitor progress, provide support, communicate with families, and help students stay on track academically.

Yes. Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain individualized support for students.

Yes. Eligible students will receive a district-issued device for coursework.

Yes. Students must have reliable internet access to participate in the program.

No. The Success Virtual Academy is available only to currently enrolled Liberty Hill ISD students.

Students enrolled in the Success Virtual Academy or in-person Success Academy are not eligible to participate in UIL or extracurricular activities.

Enrollment is application-based through the Success Academy process. Campus staff reviews each application to determine if the program is an appropriate fit for the student’s needs and graduation goals.
